Analisis Pengaruh Leverage Dan Ukuran Perusahaan Terhadap Nilai Perusahaan Dengan Profitabilitas Sebagai Variabel Mediasi (Studi Pada Perusahaan Food And Beverage Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2018-2020)
Firm value is a description of the the compani’s condition that can affect
the view of investors, therfore, each company owner tries to show the best
performance in order to attract the potential investors to invest. This study aims to
determine and analyze the effect of leverage and firm size on firm value with
profitability as a mediating variable in 24 companies of food and beverage listed
on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2020. The saturated sampling is used as
a sampling method with all members of the population were used as samples. The
data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS with quantitative methods where the
data used is secondary data. Secondary data in this study is financial reports on
Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), Size, Return On Assets (ROA) and Price Book
Value (PBV) which have been published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
The results showed that leverage had no effect on firm value, while firm
size and profitability had an effect on it. Leverage and company size affect
profitability. Profitability is able to moderate the effect of leverage on firm value,
as well as the effect of firm size on firm value.
