ABSTRACT
Vegetables are one of the horticultural products that are widely traded in traditional markets and have quite a lot of waste. We can use the vegetable waste as loading material for liquid organic fertilizer. Liquid organic fertilizer is one of the environmentally friendly fertilizers and can be applied to various types of plants, such as Dyera lowii Hook.F. Dyera lowii is one of the forestry plants that has the potential to be developed as a peatland restoration and rehabilitation plant. This study aims to determine the effect and the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for vegetable waste to stimulate the gowth of Dyera lowii seedlings. This study used a non-factorial completely randomized experimental design method, with 4 treatments, namely control, concentration of 15%, 30% and 45%. Parameters observed were live percentage, gowth of height and dry weight. The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer from vegetable waste had a significant effect on promoting the gowth of Dyera lowii seedlings on the parameters of live percentage, height, diameter, dry weight and top root ratio. The best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer was 30% with 90% live percentage, growth of height 2.69 cm, diameter 1.02 mm, dry weight 1.04 g and top root ratio 3.83.
