Kinerja Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Hybrid Menggunakan Turbin Vortex Dan Panel Surya
Indonesia has many watersheds whose utilization has not been optimal. Most of the locations of these rivers are located in remote areas. Indonesia as maritime country with a tropical climate has large sources of renewable energy, especially water and solar energy. Water energy potential in Indonesia reaches 94.3 GW and solar energy potential reaches 207.8 GWp. This innovation is the latest hybrid system innovation, namely the Hybrid Power Plant (PLTH) river and solar currents with an off-grid system. This technology was developed with a model that is more economical, simpler in terms of installation and maintenance, and can be adapted to the electricity consumption of an area. Gravitational Water Vortex Hybrid Solar Power (GERTAX) technology as a prototype of a micro-hydro and solar cell-based hybrid power plant for electricity supply solutions in remote areas. The method develops and discusses the performance of a hybrid system using a vortex-type water turbine and solar panels, by investigating the effect of comparator variations, namely the vortex-type water turbine and solar panels working independently and both hybrid systems. This research was conducted for 5 days starting from 08.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB. The results show that the maximum output power of the average generator generated from the rotation of the vortex turbine is 18.07 Watt and the maximum output power of the solar panel is 32.59 Watt. The hybrid system on the prototype can work optimally, that the prototype can lift loads of up to 40 Watts.
