Analisa Pengaruh Doping Mangan Terhadap Suseptibilitas Magnetik Dan Sifat Kristalinitas Pasir Alam Sungai Rokan Sebagai Fungsi Kecepatan Putaran Tabung
The rotation speed of the tube in ball milling method affects the crystallite size and magnetic properties of the natural sand sample used. The magnetic properties, particle composition and crystallinity properties of Rokan river natural sand as a function of milling tube rotation speed havebeeen studied. The sample of natural sand from Rokan River which has been taken with a mass of 10 kg was dried in ray before the separation process between magnetic and non-magnetic particles was carried out using Iron Sand Separator. The result of the separation with the Iron Sand Separator is called the ISS product. The ISS products were milled as a function of tube rotation speed of 100 rpm, 150 rpm, and 200 rpm. The product was doped using 5 gr manganese. The results of this study indicate that the magnetic induction value of the Rokan River natural sand sample ranges from 11,331-14,753 mT for the same current of 1000 mA, while the magnetic susceptibility value obtained ranges from 767x10-5-302×10-3. Identification of elemental content in natural sand was carried out using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) for ball milling product with tube rotational speed functions of 100 rpm, 150 rpm and 200 rpm. The ball milling product was then separated using Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB). The result of this study XRF identification showed that the Fe composition increased from 16,007% to 16,439%. The composition of K, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, and Ni is also increased, the composition of Si, Al, P and Cu decreased. The results of XRD identification produced hematite (Fe2O3) phase magnetic nanoparticles with a rhombohedral crystal system. The average size of the crystals decreases as rotation speed of the tube increases.
