Efektifitas Beasiswa Pemprov Riau Terhadap Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Jurusan Pips Fkip Universitas Riau

Scholarships are tuition assistance from the government or the private sector in the form
of a sum of money given to students or prospective students who are or will be attending
school. However, the scholarship recipient may use the scholarship he received not to
support his academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the
Riau Provincial Government scholarship on the academic achievement of students of the
PIPS FKIP Department of Riau University. The population in this study were students
of the PIPS FKIP Department of Riau University class of 2017-2020, totaling 59
students. With the sampling technique using a saturated sampling technique. Data using
questionnaires and documentation. The data
analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the
effectiveness of the Riau Provincial Government scholarship had a positive and
significant effect on the academic achievement of the students of the PIPS FKIP
Department, Riau University. With a significant (R2) of 0.324. This means that the
Riau Provincial Government scholarship effectiveness variable affects student academic
achievement by 32.4% while the remaining 67.6% is influenced by other variables not
included in this study.
