Efektivitas Komunikasi Website Female Daily Dalam Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Informasi Kecantikan
Female Daily is an online-based mass media in Indonesia which is part of Trans Digital Media or better known as Detik Network. Website with the domain www.femaledaily.com can be said to be the pioneer of an online community that focuses on beauty in Indonesia. This website offers a variety of information about beauty, both cosmetic and body care information or better known as makeup, skincare, and bodycare. With the Female Daily website, people can fulfill their beauty information needs. The purpose of this research is to find out how much effectiveness the Female Daily website has in fullfil the needs of beauty information.
This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive data analysis techniques. The theory used in this research is New Media Theory. The population in this research is all users of the Female Daily website, both registered as members and those who are not registered as members whose number is unknown (unknown population). Determination of the sample in this research using purposive sampling technique using the Paul Leedy formula and obtained a sample of 400 respondents. This research collects data by distributing online questionnaires (google form) to 400 respondents through social media and the Female Daily website.
The results of this research indicate that the measurement of the effectiveness of the Female Daily website communication in fullfil the information needs of beauty is obtained on a scale of 3.285. This value is obtained from the calculation of the communication effectiveness variable according to Hardjana Andre which consists of six measurement indicators, namely the receiver indicator with a value of 3.42 and is included in the very effective scale, content indicator with a value of 3.24 and is included in the effective scale. , media indicator with a value of 3.4 and included in the very effective scale, format indicator with a value of 3.22 and included in the effective scale, source indicator with a value of 3.25 and included in the effective scale, and timing indicator with a value of 3.18 and is included in the effective scale. So it can be concluded that the communication of the Female Daily website in fullfil the needs of beauty information is very effective.
