Kesadaran Pedagang Dalam Menjalankan Protokol Kesehatan Di Pasar Selasa Kecamatan Tuah Madani Kelurahan Tuah Karya Kota Pekanbaru
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of health and social
dynamics, namely Covid-19. From the observations of researchers at the Tuesday
Market, it can be seen that the public, especially traders who are active in the
market, still ignore the appeal of government regulations regarding health
protocols, such as the use of masks. Traditional markets are places for community
activities in terms of buying and selling merchandise, giving rise to direct
physical interaction. There is direct interaction between traders and buyers,
traders and traders, as well as buyers and buyers, so it is very potential for
physical contact to become one of the factors causing the transmission of COVID-
19 in the traditional market Tuesday.
The research method used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative
using guided interviews. Data were collected by the authors using interview and
documentation techniques. The data used are primary data obtained from
research informants and further supported by secondary data obtained from
various parties related to this research.
The results of this study can be concluded that public awareness in
carrying out health protocols and vaccinations in the Tuesday Market, Tuah
Madani District, Tuah Karya Village, Pekanbaru City is still lacking. This is
evidenced by the views of those who consider the use of masks and vaccinations
less important. They rarely even don't wear masks. They think masks are bad for
their breathing. They also don't vaccinate because of the bad news that vaccines
can cause death. However, even though they still have a negative opinion about
the prokes and vaccines, the District and Market Managers are still aggressive in
carrying out their duties to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19.
