This research is motivated by the development of rural areas, both in the
field of infrastructure and the development of Human Resources (HR) through
community empowerment programs, which is one of the special concerns in the
mandate of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages. Community participation
has a very important role in the life of society and the state. The phenomenon that
occurs in the community where the development process at the village level has
not fully involved the participation or participation of all elements of society.
Seeing the reality that is happening in the community, where the participation of
the Akit Community in development activities in the village is strongly influenced
by the involvement of the role and strong influence of informal leaders or localscale
leadership structures, such as the Inner Head, Tribal Heads, Traditional
Leaders, Tok Bomo and the influence of culture and local customs. The
formulation of the problem in this study is how the Akit Community's participation
in village development activities and how the influence of the elements of social
capital on the Akit Community's participation in village development.
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of participation of the
Akit Community in development activities in the village located in Bantan District
and to describe and analyze the influence of elements of social capital on the
participation of the Akit Community in village development. This study uses a
quantitative descriptive research method approach. The population in this study is
the Akit Community in Bantan District. This data collection technique is divided
into primary data collection and secondary data collection. Descriptive
quantitative analysis in this study is data obtained from interviews, questionnaires
and simplified observations in tabulated form, given descriptive explanations.
The results of this study indicate that the participation of the Akit Tribe's thinking
is high in the contribution of thought, namely with a percentage level of 55.6%,
the Akit Tribe's participation is low in the contribution of energy to village
development with a percentage of 34.1%, the Akit Tribe's participation is low in
the contribution. assets for village development with a percentage of 24.1%, Skill
participation of the Akit tribe has low participation in the contribution of skills to
village development with a percentage of 23.0%, Social Participation of the Akit
tribe has low participation in social contribution to village development with a
percentage of 23.0%
