Resepsi Informasi Covid-19 Di Instagram Kawalcovid19 Bagi Khalayak Kota Pekanbaru

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things in life, people need to
understand Covid-19 in order to avoid excessive anxiety or neglect resulting in
contracting Covid-19. For this reason, Kawalcovid19 makes a lot of information
so that it can help people avoid hoaxes. Public acceptance of Covid-19
information can be studied using the reception analysis method and the technique
of selecting informants using purposive techniques. Data collection techniques
used were interviews, observation and documentation, then data analysis
techniques used reception analysis.
The results showed that of the six informants, two informants were in a
dominant position and four other informants were in a negotiating position. In
addition, there were no informants who were in an oppositional position. The
reception of these informants was influenced by many factors such as age,
education and environment. Thus affecting the informant's reception of Covid-19
information received from Kawalcovid-19.
