Analisis Pengaruh Variasi Bahan Bakar Campuran Oli Bekas Dan Dexlite Terhadap Emisi Gas Buang Mesin Diesel Modifikasi
ABSTRACT
The amount of transportation and industrial growth causes lubricant requirements to increase. The increased need for lubricants is directly proportional to the waste produced. The use of used oil waste is one alternative fuel that is environmentally friendly and can be refurbished. So the need for research on a mixture of used oil and Dexlite fuel to analyze the exhaust emissions produced by modified diesel engines. The study was conducted by varying the percentage of used and dexlite oil blends, namely by presidencies of the D5 mixture (95% used oil and 5% dexlite ), D10 (90% used oil and 10% dexlite) and D15 (85% used oil and 15% dexlite). The heating value of the fuel mixture and exhaust emissions are analyzed with variations in power loads of 0 W, 1,000 W and 2,000 W. The results of the used oil calorific value were obtained at 48,604 kJ/Kg, Dexlite 47,554 kJ/Kg, and variations of the fuel mixture D5, D10, D15 of 33,340 kJ/Kg, 37,265 kJ/Kg, 38,947 kJ/Kg. The results of the main trial test are then analyzed using Microsoft Excel with the output in the form of a graph of emission levels released by diesel engines. The results of the study were the best mix of D5 (95% used oil and 5% dexlite ) produced the lowest CO emissions of 0.03%, the highest CO2 emissions of 4.88%, the lowest HC emissions of 32.86% and the lowest opacity 9.62%. Research results have met quality standards in accordance with Minister of Environment Regulation Number 05 of 2006 concerning the Threshold for Disposal Gas Emissions of Old Motor Vehicles.
