Abstrak
The Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau is one of the faculties at the University of Riau which uses quite a lot of groundwater with daily usage of around 86.7%, with very much use of groundwater, unused rainwater causes a lot of standing water in the Faculty of Engineering area. The author tries to provide a solution with Rainwater Harvesting. Rainwater harvesting that is carried out is supported by the Raincycle Standard v2.0 program, a method that is carried out using a roof's drip with the shelter being carried out in the catchment area on the roof of the building. The area of the building used as a fishing area is 17,929 m2. The results of this study, the tanks used were 10 and 15 tanks with a size of 20 m3 in each tank. The budget plan resulting from the planned construction of the rainwater harvesting installation is IDR 781,000,000 for 10 tanks and IDR 1,071,000 for 15 tanks. For the quality of the water harvested, it produces total coliform that does not meet the standards, to reduce its value, it is disinfected by adding chlorine powder and filtering using simple filtering with slow sand filtering.
