Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Padat Dari Kotoran Ternak Dan Arang Jerami Padi
ABSTRACT
Solid organic fertilizer is the result of composting from the remaining agricultural
and livestock waste, which contains macro and micro nutrients so that it can
improve soil structure. This study aims to study the effect of composting time and
EM4 concentration on the organic fertilizer produced and to analyze the N, P, K
content of the solid organic fertilizer produced. Fertilizer is made by composting
materials such as rice straw charcoal, livestock manure and rice husk in a ratio of
3:1:1 with additions EM4 bioactivator. Composting was carried out with
variations in the length of fermentation time to 14; 21; and 28 days, and
variations in the concentration of EM4 to 30%; 40%; and 50%. The largest
Nitrogen (N) content was obtained on day 28 with a 30% EM4 concentration of
1.61%, and the largest Phosphorus (P) level was obtained on day 28 with a 40%
EM4 concentration of 0.97%, while Potassium (K) was greatest on day 28 with a
30% EM4 concentration of 1.30%. The longer the composting time, the higher the
levels of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) in the fertilizer
produced. While the EM4 concentration did not significantly affect the levels of
Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) in the fertilizer produced.
