Faktor Yang Menyebabkan Kenaikan Pressure Pada Brine Filter
ABSTRACT
Brine filter is an important component in the brine solution purification process. Brine filters are used to filter the solid particles contained in the brine solution and hold them on the cloth and will accumulate to form cakes. The accumulation of these solid particles will increase the pressure drop in the brine filter and under certain circumstances must be washed. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing what factors can increase the pressure on the brine filter and the optimal flocculant dose to improve the performance of the brine filter. The occurrence of this problem is due to several factors such as increased load, sludge content, addition of chemicals, condition of the lammela plate and condition of the cloth and troubleshooting the clarifier and filter guard. The research was conducted by observing brine filters and other equipment. Sample analysis begins by taking a brine treatment tank 2 outlet sample and a flocculant sample using a sample bottle. Then, 5 samples of 250 mL outlet brine treatment tank 2 were prepared and flocculant variations of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 in 10 mL demin water. Then the flocculant solution is mixed with the brine solution by using a magnetic stirrer. Repeat for different flocculant variations. The conclusion obtained is that when the brine load increases, sludge levels are too high which will cause excess buildup on the cloth, adding chemicals that are not in the appropriate dosage, plug ups on the lammela plate and cloth and troubleshooting the clarifier and filter guard will cause an increase in pressure. unstable on brine filters. After conducting research on flocculant variations, it was found that optimal levels of flocculant doses were in the range of 0.2 and 0.3 grams in 200 mL of brine solution.
