ABSTRACT
Palm oil is (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) one of the leading commodities in Kampar Regency. Problems that occur in self-help oil palm plantations in Kampar Regency include old oil palm plants, legality of land that is not owned by farmers, use of seeds / seeds that are not certified, farmers who lack crop maintenance, and farmers who have not joined farmer institutions. Old oil palm plants, not derived from certified seeds and lack of maintenance result in low oil palm productivity and affect farmers' income needs immediate replanting. Oil palm replanting is often delayed due to various problems faced by smallholders. One of the important factors that determine the success of replanting activities is the participation of farmers in participating in the replanting activities, one of which is farmers who are members of farmer groups. This study aims to: analyze farming and analyze key attributes in the rejuvenation of oil palm plantations, self-help patterns and implications of self-help oil palm plantation development in Kampar District. The data analysis used in this study is farm analysis and prospective analysis. The results of the farmer analysis showed that the average total costs incurred by farmers amounted to Rp. 10,398,340.19, with average fixed costs of Rp. 308,491.85/lg/th and average variable costs of Rp. 10,089,848.33/lg/year. Palm oil farming income is divided into two, namely gross income/average revenue of Rp. 49,213,323.39/lg/year, net income/average profit of Rp. 38,814,983.21/lg/th. The results of the prospective analysis show that improvements that need to be made for the implementation of replanting are the participation of farmers to join plantation management institutions and have farmer certificates as well as the government's role in maintaining the stability of FFB selling prices and providing facilities to improve farmers' knowledge and skills through extension services.
