Radio Repubik Indonesia (RRI) Programa 2 Pekanbaru is a public broadcasting institution managed by the government with the aim of building national character through educational and entertaining broadcasts. In accordance with RRI's vision to become a world-class broadcasting institution and the challenges in the era of society 5.0, RRI continues to improve in making various breakthroughs and innovations in broadcasting, one of which is by implementing cyber public relations. The problem in this research is that the implementation of cyber public relations has not been optimal in building a positive image of radio and increasing the number of listeners at RRI Programa 2 Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of cyber public relations on radio image and the increase in the number of listeners, as well as to determine the effect of radio image on the increase in the number of listeners.
The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey research strategy. This research was conducted at Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Program 2 Pekanbaru. The number of samples in the study was determined as many as 102 people who were calculated using the Lemeshow formula. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire using the Google form and distributed digitally via WhatsApp groups, WhatsApp private lines, and Instagram direct messages. To complete the questionnaire data, documentation techniques were carried out, namely through validating official document searches.
Based on the results of a simple linear regression test, it was found that there was a positive and significant effect of cyber public relations on the RRI Programa 2 image with an R-Square value of 0.736. These results indicate that cyber public relations has a strong influence on the image of RRI Programa 2.Pekanbaru The cyber public relations variable is also proven to have a positive and significant influence on increasing the number of listeners with an R-Square value of 0.525 or a moderate effect. Furthermore, the image of RRI Programa 2 has a positive and significant effect on increasing the number of listeners with an R-Square value of 0.630 or having a moderate effect. The three tests that have been carried out conclude that cyber public relations has a very important role in building the image and increasing the number of listeners at RRI Programa 2 Pekanbaru
