Solidaritas Marga Batak Toba Di Perantauan Di Kota Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Everyone certainly has a desire to be more advanced and more prosperous. These desires often make the Batak Toba people to go to areas that are considered to be able to change their standard of living. For the Batak Toba people who want to wander first, their parents are educated and equipped by their parents with various Batak Toba advice and philosophies. Solidarity in the Batak Toba community can be seen from the existence of Batak Toba associations in overseas this is inseparable from traditional and cultural values that continue to be socialized from generation to generation. The subjects of this study were 5 people where the subjects of this study were one traditional king, 2 HKBP congregations, 1 AGAPE IPR congregation, and 1 GPI congregation. The informant determination technique in this study was to use purposive sampling techniques. The method used is a descriptive qualitative research method. The theory used is the theory of Social Solidarity proposed by Emile Durkheim in his work The Divission Of Labour and uses Ferdinan Tonnies' Theory of Traditional society and Modern Society (Gameinscaft and Gesselscaft). The results of the research can be concluded that the Batak Toba community in Pekanbaru prefers to be more familiar or more compact with their surrogate and hometown friends because in the implementation of their customs, it is their surrogate and villagemates who play a better role in helping to prepare customs and carry out their traditional processions.
