Analisis Etnomatematika Pada Permainan Tradisional Ligu Anak Melayu Di Kecamatan Gaung Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir

This study aims to determine the concept of ethnomathematics in the stages of traditional
Malay children's ligu games in Gaung District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research was
conducted on Jalan Merdeka Hilir No. 77, Kuala Lahang, Gaung District, Indragiri Hilir
Regency. The subjects of this study were research informants, namely three traditional league
players in Gaung District. This research was conducted from September 2022 to October
2022. This research is qualitative with a descriptive method. The data collection techniques
used were interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique involves data
reduction, data display (grouping), and drawing conclusions. In the results of the study,
namely the concept of ethnomathematics in the stages of traditional Malay children's ligu
games in Gaung Indragiri Hilir District, there are several concepts such as geometry in ligu
forms such as triangles, hearts, circles, rectangles, and pentagons; the concept of sorting,
where there is a sequence of patterns from small to large or vice versa (A-B-A or B-A-B);
counting and comparing to determine the winner of the point values; and measuring the
distance between league holds and measuring in determining the number of point values
earned in traditional league games.
