Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa Kelas VII-E SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru
Improving the learning process and increasing students' mathematical problem solving abilities (KPMM) by applying the problem based learning (PBL) model are the main objectives of this research. The research applied is PTK with two cycles which are carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. Class VII-E students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru were the subject of this study with a total of 36 students. The learning tools used consist of syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets (LKS). Data collection instruments were carried out through observation sheets and KPMM tests. The data were analyzed based on the students' observations and KPMM tests. The results showed that applying the PBL model was able to increase students' KPMM. The increase in the mean score of students' KPMM tests from cycle 1 was 63.61 to 85.83 in cycle II. Thus, the application of the PBL model can improve the learning process and increase the KPMM of class VII-E students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru.
