Etnoparenting Melayu Riau Pada Anak Usia 4-6 Tahun Di Daerah Transmigrasi Bukit Payung Kabupaten Kampar

The aim of this study is to know the activities that related to parenting which is connected with a culture to be described through the point of view of the indigenous people. This study uses a qualitative approach with athnographic methods. Data collection was carried out through an interview process and then the data was analyzed
using the Nvivo 12.2 Software coding technique. The upbringing of Malay culture based
on Malay teachings through the "twenty five nature" of parents in Bukit Payung village
shows a great influence on children in socializing with the people around them and the
environment where the child lives. Parenting applied by people of different ethnicities
there are differences between families. However, in this study found similarities that lie
in the values contained and become the main values in the process of parenting. The Riau
Malay cultural which is applied in the transmigration area of Bukit Payung village
specifically prioritized religious values as one of the main foundations, tolerance for
differences, humility towards others, honesty and courage and providing space for the
social environment in forming cultural identity to child.
