ABSTRACT
Women's Activities in Mangrove Forest Preservation Through the Food Processing Group in Pangkalan Jambi Villages were a women's movement tasked with processing mangrove products, but women also participate in mangrove conservation. The purpose of this study was to find out what activities were carried out by the Jaya Bersama group and to find out the social attitudes carried out by the Jaya Bersama women in preserving mangrove forests. In this study using the theory of social attitudes put forward by Traves, Gagne and Cornbach three aspects or components of attitudes that are interconnected are cognitive, affective and conative aspects. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method approach. The subjects in this study were five informants and one key informan. The results obtained in this study are the activities of the processed group in the village of Jambi base processing mangrove products, such as fruit and the form of utilization does not damage the mangroves. The attitudes of women in the processed food group in preserving mangrove forests are seen from three aspects, namely cognitive aspects related to their knowledge in mangrove conservation which is still small, affective related to women's feelings of joy because they are part of a group, and conative related to commitment and responsibility highest by women in the processed food group.
