ABSTRACT
Cooperatives are one of the efforts made by villages in implementing development and helping village communities in moving the wheels of the economy. The Marga Bhakti Village Unit Cooperative is a cooperative that helps members carry out rejuvenation. Members have high expectations of maintaining the quality of the garden after rejuvenation. This study aims to: (1) Analyzing the role of cooperatives in fulfilling requirements in rejuvenating oil palm; (2) Knowing the obstacles faced in meeting the requirements of oil palm rejuvenation. The research method uses case studies with interviews and filling out questionnaires. The population of this research is the members of cooperatives, totaling 300. Sampling uses purposive sampling, namely the determination of the sample obtained intentionally. The research sample consisted of 30 cooperative members who took part in oil palm rejuvenation in 2019. Multiple linear regression analysis answered the first objective and descriptive analysis answered the second objective. The results of the first objective study stated that the role of the Marga Bhakti Village Unit Cooperative as a whole was considered quite a role by members. Partially four variables have a significant effect (institutional planters, proposed area, STD-B and CPCL) and the remaining four variables (identity, accounts, land ownership not in dispute and land legality) have no significant effect on the role of cooperatives. The results of the second objective study stated that cooperative members had no obstacles in fulfilling the requirements of oil palm rejuvenation because of the cooperative role given to help members.
