Strategi Pengembangan Dodol Kelapa Muda Dalam Meningkatkan Keberdayaan Agroindustri Skala Kecil (Studi Kasus Agroindustri Ud Kemas Di Desa Wonosari Kecamatan Bengkalis Kabupaten Bengkalis)
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to understand the business profile, examine the level of empowerment, and develop a business strategy for UD Kemas' young coconut dodol enterprise in Wonosari Village, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency. The method used in this research is a case study method. Data and information for the research were collected through interviews and direct observations with informants at the research location. The informants in this study are the owners of UD Kemas. The determination of factors and weighting of SWOT components was obtained from interviews with expert respondents consisting of one business owner, one person from the Cooperative and SME Office, and one person from academia (lecturer).The results of the research show that UD Kemas' young coconut dodol industry is a small-scale agro-industry, with self-owned capital. This business receives assistance in the form of dodol processing buildings (Department of Industry and Trade) and the provision of production equipment (BKKBN). The level of viability of UD Kemas' young coconut dodol business is already average. The viability level of the dodol business in the three aspects indicates that two aspects, namely production and market aspects, are categorized as "viable" with scores of 2.58 and 2.34, respectively. However, in the distribution aspect, it is still categorized as "fairly viable" with a score of 2.25, which means that the distribution of young coconut dodol is not yet optimal. As for the implementation of alternative business development strategies for young coconut dodol products, an aggressive strategy is recommended. The SO (Strength-Opportunities) strategy includes leveraging product pricing and technological advancements to reach a wider target market, utilizing raw materials and the experience of the entrepreneurs to improve product quality, and sustaining Halal certification and P-IRT (Industrial Product Registration) for the business.
