ABSTRACT
Analysis of Income and Efficiency of Lowland Rice Production in Rokan IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency, is motivated by the large number of farmers who do not know how much input and technical, allocative and economic efficiency is used during production, therefore it is necessary to conduct income analysis research. and the efficiency of lowland rice production in Rokan IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency. This study aims to determine the application of farming, how much income is there and what is the efficiency level of lowland rice production in Rokan IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research method used was survey method with direct field interviews, sampling of representative areas using multistage sampling and sampling was carried out by census sampling. There are two methods of analysis to answer the objectives of this study, namely by using descriptive analysis method and data analysis method even investment analysis. Meanwhile, allocative and economic efficiency shows that 88% is inefficient because the combination of input usage is not optimal and there are differences in input prices from each DMU. The additional potential profit that can be obtained by paddy rice farming by combining inputs optimally is 12% of the actual conditions. There is still a need for training and guidance from the relevant government to empower and improve technology in lowland rice cultivation and the need to maintain grain price stability and input prices used by farmers such as fertilizers and pesticides.
