ABSTRACT
Harvesters are the most decisive actor in influencing palm oil productivity, the performance of harvesters determines the productivity of palm oil. Factors that can improve and optimize harvesters performance are job satisfaction felt by harvesters and work motivation owned by each harvesters. The aims of this study are to determine the degree of job satisfaction, work motivation and performance of harvesters, and also to analyze the effect of job satisfaction and work motivation on harvesters performance. Study was conducted at PT. Terang Inti Seraya in Buluh Nipis village, Siak Hulu district, Kampar regency. Due to the relatively small population, this study applied the census method in determining the sample. Therefore, all the objects of the population were selected as sample. Data are collected using questionnaires distributed to 25 harvesters of PT. Terang Inti Seraya. All variables were measured using a Likert scale and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using the Warp-PLS version 7.0. PLS software. The results show that harvesters job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on harvesters performance. However, this study failed to show the effect of motivation on harvesters performance.
