ABSTRACT
This research examines the home industry bisuness (Amplang Crackers in Sungai Luar Village, Batang Tuaka District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. With many fishermen and farmers in Sungai Luar Village, Batang Tuaka District strongly supports the home industry program, in order to support the regional economy and also the local community Industry in Sungai Luar Village is still relatively small starting from small industry and medium industry. The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) To find out the background of establishing a home industry for crackers amplang. 2) Knowing the socio-economic condition of the owner of the amplang cracker home industry. This study used qualitative research methods. The theory used is Coleman's theory. There were 5 informants in this study who were home industry owners. The results of this study were that these industries could open up new jobs, especially for women. Indragiri Hilir Regency, Batang Tuaka Subdistrict, is an area called a thousand trenches and the community is predominantly Muslim, in this case in Sungai Luar Village there is a household industry sector with the name of the amplang cracker home industry, each of which has employees. With the existence of a home industry, it is hoped that it will be able to meet the needs of people's lives. In addition, the people of Sungai Luar Village also work as fishermen with quite a lot of shrimp catches, the ease of obtaining products from the sea in the form of shrimp opens up business opportunities for people who live in Sungai Luar, so that the community has initiatives to creatively utilize the surrounding natural resources.Workforce The research found that on average the research subjects employed the surrounding community and their family members to help develop the Amplang Cracker Home Industry in Sungai Luar Village.
