ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in Batas Village, Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency with the aim of knowing: 1) The role of parents in supervising the behavior of adolescents in Batas Village, Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency. 2) Obstacles faced by parents in supervising the behavior of adolescents in Batas Village, Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency. Therefore, to achieve this goal, a descriptive qualitative method was used by taking 1 person as a key informant, 3 people as the main informant and 1 person as a supporting informant. This study used a purposive sampling technique through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research regarding the role of parents in supervising adolescent behavior. Judging from the impressions conveyed by key informants, main informants and supporting informants in conveying the role of parents in supervising the behavior of these adolescents. The role of parents in supervising the behavior of adolescents is as an educator, as an adviser, as a protector, as a director, as a person in charge. Obstacles taken by parents in supervising children's behavior are the child's peers. When parents have succeeded in overcoming the child's delinquency but still meet peers, the child's behavior will return to normal. Because peers are very influential on juvenile delinquency.
