ABSTRACT
This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 8 Batam City. The aims of this study are to find out: 1) How are the online shopping activities of SMA N 8 Batam students, 2) How can promotions carried out by influencers on social media influence and have an impact on the online shopping activities of SMA N 8 Batam students. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method, data collection techniques in this study are observation, questionnaires and documentation. This study used Simple Random Sampling, with a total of 128 respondents. The results of the research on the effect of influencer promotions on online shopping activities of high school students in Batam city can be seen that there are 9 factors that are considered by social media users, especially high school students, in shopping online for products promoted by influencers namely, Expertise, Trustworthiness, Attractiveness, Similarity, Expected Brand Values, Likes and Comments, Followers, Content, and Personal Branding. Promotions carried out by influencers on social media are considered to have an influence on student online shopping activities.
