Pengembangan Modul Matematika Berbasis Etnomatematika Menggunakan Model Problem Based Learning Pada Materi Segiempat Dan Segitiga SMP
This research is based on the teaching materials used that do not contain learning activities that involve students directly in discovering and applying mathematical concepts. Learning mathematics in schools is still minimal which uses culture as a learning context. Mathematics learning is only focused on what is in mathematics textbooks. The cultural environment that has educational value is not used as a medium and learning resource, so that students have difficulty understanding the concepts of quadrilaterals and triangles. Therefore it is necessary to develop teaching materials that can help students in the learning process. This study aims to produce ethnomathematics-based mathematics modules using problem-based learning models on junior high school quadrilaterals and triangles that meet valid and practical criteria for use.
This research is a development research with the Four-D model. The research was conducted through four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. At the define stage, front end analysis was carried out, namely the initial analysis by looking at problems with interviews and initial observations, student analysis, namely looking at the characteristics of students, and curriculum analysis, namely looking at KD, indicators, learning objectives and learning materials. The next stage is the design stage which is carried out by collecting references, choosing a format and the initial design of the module. The develop stage is carried out with validation, product revision, product testing, and product revision after testing to become a module, and the disseminate stage is the dissemination of the developed product to SMP/MTs behavior schools. The research subjects were class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Tapung, totaling 15 students. The research instruments used in this study were: validity instruments in the form of validation sheets for modules and practical instruments in the form of student response questionnaires, data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation.
The results showed that at the define stage it was found that teaching materials were needed that facilitated the independence of students who used cultural contexts as problems in learning, namely the ethnomathematics-based mathematics module using a problem-based learning model on quadrilaterals and triangles. At the design stage it is designed to manufacture mathematics modules starting from the selection of formats and designing the contents of the module which includes a problem-based learning model with cultural elements in each given learning problem. The develop or development stage of the researcher carries out development according to the design stage and the product that has been developed is then validated by three experts, namely the mathematics lecturer. It was obtained that the average percentage of module validation results was 84.03% with quite valid criteria, meaning that the developed module complies with content, construct, graphic and linguistic requirements. Thus, the mathematics module that

the researcher developed is suitable for use as teaching material that can facilitate student independence and maximize students' abilities.
Mathematical modules that are already valid are tried out. The trial that was carried out was a small group trial by giving a student response questionnaire to see the practicality of the mathematics module being developed. The average percentage of practicality results is 88.53%, meaning that the mathematics module developed is very practical for students to use. The final stage, namely the Dessiminate stage, is carried out by distributing valid and practical mathematics modules to SMP/MTS level schools. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development of ethnomathematics-based mathematics modules using problem-based learning models on quadrilaterals and triangles already meets valid and practical aspects for use in SMP/MTs.
