Abstract
Tourism based on ecotourism ideas is being developed in Rantau Langsat Village as part of an initiative to utilize the natural and cultural assets of the region, with the aim of improving the community's economy and instilling a greater sense of responsibility to protect them. This is what distinguishes the idea of ecotourism from previous forms of tourism. This study aims to examine the methods developed by the Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism of Indargiri Hulu Regency in promoting ecotourism in Rantau Langsat Village, as well as the factors that influence these tactics. This research data was collected in Rantau Langsat Village through observation, interviews, and documentation using a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings of this study indicate that human resources, facilities and infrastructure, and community involvement are significant obstacles to developing ecotourism in Rantau Langsat Village.
