ABSTRACT College students are the next generation and are considered as assets that are trusted to continue, maintain and preserve the existing culture, in this case, the Dalihan Na Tolu culture in the Toba Batak culture. In society, students are valued as people who are highly educated and have extensive knowledge. However, it is a little sad to see the reality that is happening among students, in the midst of their busy life to gain high knowledge, students are slowly starting to forget their identity and where they come from. This research was conducted by the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) to find out the level of knowledge of Toba Batak students about the function of Dalihan Na Tolu in Toba Batak culture 2) To find out the factors that influence the level of knowledge of Toba Batak students about the function of Dalihan Na Tolu. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. The population in this study were Batak Toba students majoring in sociology, totaling 91 people. The sampling technique used was a saturated sample, namely taking the entire population as a sample. Instrument data is a questionnaire, with descriptive quantitative data analysis and cross tabulation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the level of student knowledge is divided into three, namely low with a frequency of 30 respondents, medium with a frequency of 30 and high with a frequency of 31 respondents. There are 5 factors that influence the level of student knowledge, namely education (socialization), experience, sources of information, interests and environment.
