Identifikasi Tingkat Kematangan Buah Nanas Dengan Menggunakan Metode Impedansi Dan Principal Component Analysis (Pca)
ABSTRACT
Pineapple is a local product in Riau that is widely cultivated in Kampar. Good quality pineapples are exported overseas and make processed products, for example canned fruit and jams. The quality of pineapple ripeness must be maintained. A more accurate evaluation of pineapple ripeness can be done using the electrical impedance method to make it easier for farmers to determine pineapple ripeness. Pineapple characterization is carried out using a platinum electrode sensor in the frequency range of 10 Hz-50 kHz which is connected to the LabVIEW software so that the virtual instrument-based testing system is able to increase the accuracy and speed of measurement more efficiently. The measurement results will be processed using Multi Variat Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to visualize the measurement data of the maturity level of pineapple into separate clusters. Measurements were made using pineapples with different maturity levels, namely unripe pineapple, half-ripe pineapple and ripe pineapple with a voltage amplitude of 100 mV. The measurement results show that the impedance value of pineapple fruit increases with increasing maturity. This is due to the increasing sugar content and decreasing water content in pineapple fruit. Measurement of real value with the same maturity variation obtained real value also increases. Measurement of imaginary value with the same maturity variation is found to decrease with maturity. The imaginary value decreases due to an increase in membrane permeability. Measurement of phase angle with the same maturity variation obtained phase angle value also increases. The phase angle value increases due to a decrease in reactance in pineapple fruit as maturity increases. The impedance measurements of pineapple fruit were also classified using PCA. The classification results of the three pineapple ripeness levels show significant differences. The pineapple ripeness value on the score plot graph is determined by the main component PC1 and the second PC2. PC1 gives a variance of 48.7%, while PC2 gives a variance of 43.6%, so the variance shown in PC1 and PC2 is 92.3%, meaning that the classification of pineapple fruit maturity levels using the PCA method is successful.
