Peningkatan Sensitivitas Sensor Koil DatarMenggunakan Soft Magnetic Vitrovac Untuk Pengukur Ketebalan Pelat Logam Aluminium
ABSTRACT
This study reports the sensitivity enhancement of non-magnetic plate thickness sensor based on Eddy Current principal in the form of planar coils that could work without direct mechanical contact to the object. The principle used in the Eddy Current sensor is the change of coil mutual inductance due to the presence of objects in the magnetic field. The coil is made up of single layer, double layer, and different angled double layer coil designed using EAGLE Autodesk software based on printed circuit board (PCB) material with the number of turn (n) 24 turn, 31.4mm diameter, and 2mm core diameter mounted with 30mm Vitrovac 6025 F ribbon. Coil inductance evaluation are carried out using LDC 1000 EVM which converts plate thickness into inductance values. The addition of Vitrovac 6025 F ribbon has been carried out to increase the sensitivity value and decrease the error value of the sensor which gives an increase in sensitivity value of 28.40% for double layered coil and 86,24% for single layered coil, and also the decrease of error value of data model by 50%.
