THE INFLUENCE OF THE DIGITAL LITERACY LEVEL OF
HOUSEWIVES ON THE LEVEL OF TRUST IN THE
COVID-19 VACCINE HOAX ON FACEBOOK

Counselor : Dr. Yasir, M.Si The covid-19 vaccine is a treatment effort to reduce the number of positive Covid-19 patients, but due to the large amount of false information or hoaxes circulating on social media, the situation is getting worse. Kominfo noted that Facebook social media has the most Covid-19 vaccine hoaxes. With this, it has become a necessity that the importance of digital literacy in today’s society. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the level of digital literacy of housewives on the level of trust in the Covid-19 vaccine hoax on Facebook. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. Using uses and gratification theory which states that audiences are considered active and smart in applying media according to their needs. Researchers collected data using a “google form” questionnaire and documentation. The research location is in singingi hilir distict with a sampel size of 96 respondents using random sampling technique. Sampels whose population is unknown because the population of respondents is not known with certainty so that researchers use the unknown population formula. To determine the relationship between variables, researchers used simple linear regression analysis. While the questionnaire for processing test data was carried out using Statistical Product And Service Solutions (SPSS) Windows version 22. The results of this study based on simple linear regression obtained regression Y = 4.712 + 0.315X constant number (a) as big as 4.712 and the coefficient of the Covid-19 vaccine hoax trust variabel is 0.315 with tcount = 9.370 > ttable = 1.895 and sig 0.000 < 0,05. While the determination test results obtained 48,3%.. This mean that there is an influence between the level of digital literacy of houseswives on the level of trust in the covid-19 vaccine hoax on Facebook by 48.3% in the weak category. While the remaining 51.7% is influenced by other factors outside of this study. Keywords : Hoax, Facebook, Digital Literacy, and Vaccine Covid-19
