ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in the village of Bangko Permata, Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir with the aim of knowing: 1) The Phenomenon of Using Tiktok for Teenagers and 2) Tiktok Trends on Teen Lifestyles. This study uses qualitative research methods by taking 5 subjects aged 10-19 years. This study used a purposive sampling technique through data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used is the lifestyle theory according to David Chaney. The results of research in the field can be concluded that the phenomenon of using tiktok for teenagers, namely teenagers, means that tiktok is an application as entertainment when they are tired of all school activites, their goals and reasons for using tiktok are because tiktok is an application that has filters, features and trends that make it exciting even if only 15-30 seconds. The trend of tiktok towards the lifestyle of teenagers where they can choose whatever food they want by making it themselves or buying, it, as well as the style of clothing they can choose whether to buy branded or not but but clothes that are comfortable to wear. Their language style sometimes also follows slang in tiktok and thet also usually take advantage of their free time after school by hanging out with friends.
