Efektivitas Aplikasi Phet Dalam Pembelajaran Fisika Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa Pada Materi Gelombang Berjalan Dan Gelombang Stasioner Kelas Xi Sman 9 Pekanbaru
Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the PhET application on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the topics of traveling waves and stationary waves. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a posttest only control design. The study population consists of all 11th-grade students at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru for the 2022/2023 academic year, with the sample of this research is class XI IPA 1 as experimental group and class XI IPA 3 as control group. The instrument that used in this research was multiple choice questions totaling 25 questions. The research data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test conducted with SPSS. The analysis results obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating significant differences in the cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. The average score for the experimental class is 81.67 while the average score for the control class is 72.22. This suggests that students who used the PhET application in physics learning for traveling waves and stationary waves achieved higher cognitive learning outcomes compared to those in the conventional learning class. Therefore, it can be concluded that in physics learning, the PhET application is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes.
