Pengembangan Media Komik Digital Pada Materi Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Indonesia Sebagai Sumber Belajar Siswa Kelas Xi SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru
Abstract
Technological developments have an impact on the field of education. Especially the development of learning media. However, in the learning process in the field there are still several problems found, one of which is that the use of learning media has not been maximized so that conventional learning media is still used in the form of a blackboard. Apart from that, the learning resources used in the form of printed books only contain text or writing, making students lazy to read which results in students' low understanding of history learning material. For this reason, it is necessary to develop learning media so that students do not feel bored and the class atmosphere becomes more enjoyable. Researchers took the initiative to develop digital-based comics to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of achieving student learning outcomes in Indonesian history lessons. Research objectives 1) to develop digital comic media on the material of the proclamation of Indonesian independence for class XI IPS. 2) to determine the level of student learning success using digital comic media. 3) to see students' and teachers' responses to the suitability of digital comic media. This Research and Development (R&D) was carried out using the ADDIE model. in the learning process after validation by media, material experts, students and teachers. The media expert validation results were 95% with a very feasible category, material expert validation was 97% with a very feasible category. The comparison of the average student Pretest and Posttest results was 84.4 and 57.2 with a difference (Gain value) of 0.78, indicating an increase in student learning outcomes after using digital comic media. The results of the feasibility of comic media are based on student and teacher responses of 4.6 and 4.9 with the category very suitable for use as learning media for class XI IPS
