The production of television programs requires proper management because it involves a lot of manpower, equipment and large costs. To produce an event so that undesirable things happen, it is important to use management in managing an event production. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning, organizing, directing and supervision of TVRI Riau Television program management in broadcasting the news program "Riau Today".
This study used qualitative research methods. As for the subject In this study, the subjects in this study were the Program Director and Person in Charge who were directly related to the news program on the TVRI Riau television station which were selected using a purposive technique. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses interactive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. Data validation techniques used in this study were extended participation and triangulation.
The results of the study indicate that planning in this stage is to hold an editorial meeting to discuss what will be carried out both that day and the following day. Then distinguish it better, namely planning news material so that field coverage is needed, not just repeating the news that is being broadcast. The organizing stage is carrying out the plans that have been prepared by dividing the work for each crew in charge of producing the Riau Hari Hari news. In carrying out the briefing, that is carried out when covering the Riau Today news by covering pictures, taking pictures, writing news scripts and broadcasting the Riau Today news program. In managing the production of the Riau Hari Hari news program by supervising it. Oversight during planning is during editorial meetings, organizing oversight is ensuring members carry out their duties when reporting on the Riau Today news program.
