Pengujian Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Biji MIMB (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) Terhadap Kematian Cacing Tentara Jagung (Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith) Di Laboratorium

The purpose of this study was to obtain an effective concentration of neem seed extract (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) to kill Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith maize pests in the laboratory. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replications in order to obtain 20 experimental units. Parameters observed were initial time of death (hours), time of death 50 (LT50) (hours), daily mortality (%), total mortality (%), temperature, and humidity. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) and then continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ) using software, namely SAS 9.00. The results showed that the application of neem seed extract at a concentration of 80 g.l-1 water turned out to be the best and an effective concentration in controlling the pest S. frugiperda because it can cause a total mortality of 80% with an initial time of death of 16.50 hours after application and a lethal time of 50 at 50.75 hours after application.
