Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas XI IPA SMA IT AL-Fityah Pekanbaru
This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the eleventh grade at IT High School Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. This research was a classroom action research using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve mathematical learning outcomes and learning processes. It consists of two cycles of action that pass through four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was held in odd semesters of the 2023/2024 school year in the eleventh grade at Al-Fityah IT High School Pekanbaru. The subjects of this study were 27 students. This research instrument consists of learning tools (sylabus, lesson plans, student worksheets) and data collection instruments in the form of teacher-student activity sheets which were analyzed descriptively narrative and student mathematics learning outcomes tests which were analyzed descriptively statistically. Based on data analysis on teacher and student activities during the learning process with the application of Problem Based Learning model, it can be seen that the learning process has achieved the expected progress at each meeting. The results of the research data analysis showed that the number of students who reached the KKM increased. Students who achieved KKM in the knowledge aspect before the implementation of the action amounted to 44.44%, increased to 55.55% in cycle I and increased again in cycle II to 77.78%. While the number of students who reached the KKM in the skill competency in cycle I was 55.25%, and increased in cycle II to 74.07%. The results of the research shown that students of the eleventh grade at IT High School Al-Fityah Pekanbaru, obtained better learning results with the application of the PBL model. In other words, the application of PBL has a positive effect on the learning process.
