Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas VIII MTs Hayatul Islamiyah Pangean
This research was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII MTs Hayatul Islamiyah Pangean students caused by the teacher-centered learning process. One way that can be used to overcome this is by applying the Problem Based Learning model. This type of research is class action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, execution, observation, and reflection. This action was carried out at MTs Hayatul Islamiyah Pangean in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year for 20 grade VIII students. The research instruments used are learning tools consisting of Syllabus, Learning Implementation Plans, and Student Worksheets, while data collection instruments consist of observation sheets and tests of student learning outcomes. Data is analyzed based on observations and tests of students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results showed that applying the Problem Based Learning model was able to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. Increased average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes test from cycle I which is 55 to 90 in cycle II. Thus, the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII MTs Hayatul Islamiyah Pangean students.
