This research focuses on the management of oil palm plantations by self-reliant farmers in Tri Mulya Jaya Village, Pelalawan Regency, Ukui District, Riau Province. The aim of this study is to describe the characteristics of farmers, analyze the communication network patterns, and identify the relationship between farmers' characteristics and their behavior in the implementation of oil palm replanting. The research was conducted over six months using probability sampling methods, with analysis tools involving Likert scales, UCINET IV, and Spearman's rank. The results indicate that the internal and external characteristics of farmers in Tri Mulya Jaya Village generally support the effectiveness of adopting and implementing oil palm farming. The use of smartphones by farmers is considered highly effective, demonstrating the positive impact of agricultural extension services. The communication network pattern in Tri Mulya Jaya Village is formed in a circular structure, allowing optimal member participation. Although a positive relationship between the accuracy of extension channels and farmers' communication behavior was identified, there was no significant relationship with external characteristics. Actors in the communication network can be categorized as stars and bridges, with local and global centrality and togetherness being key aspects in the network dynamics. The relationship between internal characteristics and behavior shows significant connections, especially regarding age, education level, number of dependents, land area, and cosmopolitanism. External characteristics such as extension intensity, accuracy of extension channels, and the number of information sources also have a very strong and significant relationship with farmers' behavior in the implementation of oil palm replanting.
