Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas Viii Al-Kindy Smpit Al-Andalus Pekanbaru
Improving the learning process and increasing student mathematics learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is the main objective of this Classroom Action Research. The research was carried out in two cycles on class VIII Al-Kindy students at SMPIT Al-Andalus Pekanbaru with a total of 26 students. The research instruments used were learning tools (syllabus, RPP and LKPD) and data collection instruments (teacher and student activity sheets and student learning outcome tests). The results of data analysis show that there has been an improvement in the learning process, namely that students are able to understand contextual problems by writing down what they know and ask questions, students are active in discussing with their group of friends and students are confident in presenting the results of discussions in front of the class and actively providing responses to the presenting group. The increase in student learning outcomes can be seen from the percentage of students who achieved the KKM in the basic score from 46.10% to 61.53% in cycle I and increasing in cycle II to 73.07%. Thus, the application of the PBL model can improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII Al-Kindy SMPIT Al-Andalus Pekanbaru students.
