Studi Kasus Tentang Faktor Penghambat Kemampuan Membaca Peserta Didik Di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar SDN 018 Tanjung Beludu

The aim of this research is to describe the factors that hinder the reading ability of students in class IV elementary school. This type of research is qualitative research using the case study method. The data sources in this research were students, teachers and parents with the research subject being a fourth grade elementary school student. The results of this research are that there are several factors that inhibit students' reading ability, including internal and external factors. Internal factors that hinder students' reading ability include psychological factors, lack of interest, motivation, and physiological factors, they experience vision problems and have congenital diseases, so this affects intellectual factors. Meanwhile, external factors that hinder students' reading ability include factors from the family environment and school environment.
