Pengaruh Penerapan Model Project Based Learning pada Materi Literasi Finansial terhadap Peningkatan Kecakapan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis dan Profil Gotong Royong Siswa SMP Kecamatan Bengkalis

Gumanti / 2110246884 - Nama Orang;

One of the mathematical skills that students must master is the ability to solve problems. The results of the preliminary study stated that students' mathematical problem skills were still low. Apart from cognitive abilities, there are psychomotor abilities that must also be developed, one of which is the character of mutual cooperation. Changing times and rapid technological developments have caused a decline in the character of student mutual cooperation. The Project Based Learning model as a project-based learning model with each phase is considered capable of facilitating and improving students' mathematical problem solving skills and mutual cooperation profiles. In this research, the Project Based Learning model is applied to financial literacy material, because this material has an important role in daily life and the world of work.
The formulation of the research problem is: (1) is there a difference in the increase in mathematical problem solving skills and mutual cooperation profiles of students who use the Project Based Learning model and students who use scientific learning; (2) is there a difference in the increase in mathematical problem solving skills and mutual cooperation profiles of students who use the Project Based Learning model between high, medium and low level KAM. The objectives of this research are: (1) to analyze and describe the differences in increasing mathematical problem solving abilities and mutual cooperation profiles of students who use the Project Based Learning model and students who use scientific learning; (2) analyze and describe the differences in increasing mathematical problem solving skills and mutual cooperation profiles of students who use the Project Based Learning model between high, medium and low level KAM. The benefits of this research are expanding researchers' insight and experience regarding the application of the Project Based Learning model, providing input to teachers, educational practitioners and school principals in implementing the Project Based Learning model so that they can optimize the quality of learning.
This research is quantitative research using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design quasi-experimental method. The population is Bengkalis District Junior High School students with a sample of 186 students. The main instruments consist of a mathematical problem solving skills test sheet and a mutual cooperation profile questionnaire. Supporting instruments are learning tools consisting of Learning Objectives, Learning Objective Flow, and Teaching Modules. The main instruments and research supporting instruments have gone through the validation stage and were declared valid. Data analysis was carried out on student KAM data, pretest, posttest results and questionnaires before and after the action.
The results of the hypothesis test stated that there was a difference in the increase in mathematical problem solving skills between students in the experimental group and the control group, both overall and based on KAM level. Based on the results of data analysis of mathematical problem solving skills tests, the average N-Gain score for the experimental class reached 0.48 with medium criteria, while the average N-Gain score for the control class reached 0.21 with low criteria, so it can be said that skills increased students mathematical problem solving with the Project Based Learning model is greater than students with scientific learning. The results of the hypothesis test also stated that there were differences in increasing problem solving skills between high, medium and low KAM students. The average N-Gain value of high KAM students is 0.71, while the average N-Gain value of medium and low KAM students is 0.47 and 0.31 respectively. This condition explains that KAM has an effect on increasing students mathematical problem solving skills.
Based on the results of hypothesis testing, there is a difference in the increase in mutual cooperation profiles between students in the experimental group and the control group, both overall and based on KAM level. The average N-Gain value for experimental class students is 0.42, while for the control class it is 0.09, so it can be said that learning using the Project Based Learning model can improve students mutual profiles. The results of the hypothesis test stated that there was no difference in the increase in mutual cooperation profiles between high KAM, medium KAM and low KAM students. The average N-Gain value of high KAM students is 0.41, while the average N-Gain value of medium and low KAM students is 0.43 and 0.36 respectively.
The conclusions from the discussion of the research results are as follows: (1) the increase in mathematical problem solving skills of students who use the Project Based Learning model is higher than students who use scientific learning, both overall and based on KAM level; (2) the increase in the mutual cooperation profile of students who use the Project Based Learning model is higher than that of students who use scientific learning, both overall and based on KAM level; (3) the increase in mathematical problem solving skills of high level KAM students is higher than medium level KAM and low level KAM, and medium level KAM is higher than low level KAM; (4) there is no difference in increasing the mutual cooperation profile between high, medium and low levels of KAM.

Key words: mathematical problem solving skills, financial literacy, mutual cooperation profile, Project Based Learning.
