Aplikasi Matriks Interval Dalam Mengestimasi Input-Output Di Pulau Sumatera
This final project presents increasingly rapid development of interval numbers. Many researchers have discussed algebraic operations on the number of intervals by presenting different formulas mainly on the multiplication formula and the division of two interval numbers. The formula given by many such researchers has a weakness that multiplication of an interval number with its inverse does not produce identity. Therefore, it is necessary to modify the formula of mul- tiplication two intervals numbers so that the result of multiplying an interval with its inverses is identity. Interval numbers have a lower limit and an upper limit which are obtained respectively from the minimum value and maximum value. The sequence of several of these intervals can be formed as an interval matrix. Then the development of the interval matrix in the field of economics was given to estimate the input-output in Sumatra using the modified elemen- tary row operations by solving the equation Lx = b. Secondary data used was obtained from the Badan Pusat Statistik of Sumatra. This solution can be used by economic decision makers for example in analyzing the creation of new jobs in a particular sector so that it can reduce consumption on final demand.
