Korelasi Minat Baca Puisi Terhadap Keterampilan Baca Puisi Siswa Kelas V Sd Negeri 8 Pekanbaru

This research aims to determine students' interest in reading poetry which will be related to students' skills in reading poetry. If students have a high interest in reading poetry, their poetry reading skills will also be high. This research is quantitative research, carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample for this research was class V students at SD Negeri 8 Pekanbaru with a total of 100 respondents. The data collection techniques used in this research are tests and questionnaires that have been previously validated. Questionnaire with 20 questions and tests the skills of each 100 students. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship between interest in reading poetry and poetry reading skills, and there is a large relationship between interest in reading poetry and poetry reading skills, , of 0.390 is included in the low category, with > atau 4,196 > 1,660,, then H0 is rejected and means Ha accepted means there is a relationship between interest in reading poetry and poetry reading skills with a contribution of 14.4%.
