Hubungan Kandungan Bahan Organik Dengan Kelimpahan Makrozoobentos Di Hutan Mangrove Desa Mengkapan Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak

This research was conducted in February - May 2024, located in the Estuary of Mengkapan Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of organic matter, the abundance of macrozoobenthos and the relationship of organic matter content with macrozoobenthos abundance. The method used was survey method. At the research site found 9 species namely Littoraria scabra, L. melanostoma, Nerita artriculata, N. violacea, Indothais malayenis, Cerithidea obtusa, C. cingulata, Telescopium telescopium, Ellobium pyramidale. The characteristics of sediment types found in the Mengkapan Village mangrove forest are mud, sandy mud, gravelly mud and mixture (gravel, sand and mud). The results of a simple linear regression test for the relationship between organic matter content and macrozoobenthos abundance obtained the equation Y = 0.8229 + 3.0478X with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0,923 and the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,8529. The value of r states a very strong relationship, meaning that the higher the organic matter content, the higher the abundance of macrozoobenthos.
