Lama Perendaman Setek Jeruk Siam (Citrus Nobilis Lour) Di Dalam Ekstrak Bawang Merah
Siam lime in Riau is still not widely cultivated on a large scale, and the cultivated plants also do not meet the standards of quality plants. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of soaking duration in shallot extract and to determine the best soaking duration for the growth of siam lime (Citrus nobilis Lour) cuttings. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Binawidya Campus Km 12.5, Binawidya Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. The research was carried out from June to August 2022. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, namely the duration of soaking in shallot extract consisting of four treatments: soaking for 0 hours, soaking for 3 hours with a concentration of 75% shallot extract, soaking for 6 hours with a concentration of 75% shallot extract, soaking for 9 hours with a concentration of 75% shallot extract. Each treatment was repeated 5 times, resulting in 20 experimental units. The parameters observed were the emergence time of shoots, number of shoots, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, root volume, and success rate percentage. Based on the research conducted, to obtain good growth of siam lime seedlings, it is recommended to use a soaking duration of 6 hours with a concentration of 75% shallot extract.
