Uji Efektivitas Ekstrak Daun Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia L.) Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak Jagung (Spodoptera Frugiperda) Di Laboratorium
Corn (Zea mays L.) is one of the most important food crops in the world after rice and wheat. Efforts to increase corn production in Indonesia have various problems, one of which is the attack of armyworms maize (Spodoptera frugiperda). This pest control can be done by using vegetable insecticides from noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.). This study aims to obtain a concentration of noni leaf extract that are effective in controlling fall armyworm pests in the laboratory. This research was carried out at the Plant Pests Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University which was carried out for 3 months from January to March 2024. The study was carried out experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of five treatments and four
replications in order to obtain 20 experimental units with various concentrations, namely, 0 g.l-1 of water, 25 g.l-1 of water, 50 g.l-1 of water, 75 g.l-1 of water and 100 g.l-1 of water. The results showed that the different concentrations of noni leaf extract had a significant effect on the mortality of Spodoptera frugiperda larvae. Concentration of 75 g.l-1 of water is effective in controlling
Spodoptera frugiperda larvae because it can kill 85% with an initial time of death 13,25 hour after application and a lethal time of 50 at 42,5 hours after application.
