Uji Tiga Isolat Trichoderma Sp. Endofit Tanaman Aren Dan Konsorsiumnya Dalam Menghambat Pertumbuhan Ganoderma Boninense Penyebab Penyakit Busuk Pangkal Batang Kelapa Sawit
Oil palm is one of the plantation commodities that has an important role in economic activities in Riau Province and in Indonesia. because it produces edible oil that is needed by the industrial sector. Riau Province in 2022, still the largest palm oil producing province in Indonesia. However, there are still obstacles in oil palm cultivation. Factors that hinder oil palm cultivation include the attack of pathogenic fungi that cause stem base rot disease caused by Ganoderma boninense. Control of BPB disease in oil palm has been widely practiced, including technical culture methods and application of synthetic fungicides made from active carboxin. However, it has not been able to suppress the growth of G. boninense completely. An alternative that can be used to suppress the growth of G. boninense is to use Trichoderma sp. endophytes of aren palm plants as single isolates or consortia. This study aims to determine the effect and test the ability of three isolates of Trichoderma sp. endophytes of aren plants and their consortium in inhibiting the growth of G. boninense causing base rot disease of oil palm trunks in-vitro. This research was conducted with experimental method (growth speed and inhibition of consortium of three isolates of Trichoderma sp. endophytes of sugar palm plants), observation (compatibility and hyperparasitism types of consortium of three endophytic Trichoderma sp. isolates of sugar palm plants). Data from compatibility and hyperparasitism types are presented descriptively. Data from the test results of growth speed and inhibition of three isolates of Trichoderma sp. endophytes of palm plants were analyzed by variance analysis and to see the effect of the average between treatments followed by a further test of honest real difference (HSD) at the 5% level. The results showed that three isolates of Trichoderma sp. endophytes of single palm plants and their consortiums were compatible. It has relatively similar growth speed and inhibition ability against G. boninense with inhibition ranging from 54.33-66.00%. It has several hyperparasitic types including attachment, lysis, coiling and entanglement.
